Dana Charles Walker, D.Mgt is an Associate Professor of Business at Quincy University, a Franciscan liberal arts university located in Quincy, Illinois. Dr. Walker is also the Title III Grant Coordinator for the Business Analytics program. Dr. Walker was an adjunct professor in the Department of Business, at the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology, at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri from 2001-2021. Internationally, Dr. Walker has been a visiting professor of Strategy and Competition at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China since 2014. His focus is teaching Strategic Management and Business Analytics but he also teaches Management Theory, Marketing Management, and Organizational Behavior at both the graduate and undergraduate level.

In July 2014, after twenty-five years of service, Dana retired from the IBM Corporation as a Consulting Partner in the IBM Software Group. As a Consulting Partner, Dana worked with several Fortune 500 corporations and public sector clients on adopting new and innovative technology/ His research interest includes commercialization of technology innovations as well as human capital, intellectual capital, and manufacturing innovation topics relating to strategic management, supply chain management and the adoption and use of Business Analytics.

Dr. Walker holds a Doctoral of Management degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Walker is an active member of the Academy of Management (AOM) The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), the Association of Supply Chain Managers (ASCM) and is a certified CPIM. He is also a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (The Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business). Prior to his doctoral studies at Webster University Dr. Walker received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Emporia State University in Kansas.
